Best time to post on Reddit? Here's what buyers actually do.

Most "best time to post on Reddit" pages guess a precise hour from one subreddit's upvotes. We don't have upvote data either. What Buska has is 534,004 real Reddit posts run through its qualification engine, with the exact date and a buyer verdict on each. Here is what that actually shows.

What the data shows

Over 90 days (rolling window, UTC dates), Buska analyzed 534,004 Reddit posts. 8,038 were scored HOT by the engine, a strong, first-person buying signal: 1.51% of the total. That rate is not flat across the week: it peaks on Friday (1.76% of that day's posts) and is lowest on Saturday (1.21%). One notable pattern: Friday has the FEWEST posts overall but the HIGHEST buyer-signal rate, while the weekend carries decent volume but a clearly lower share of buyers.

Share of the week's buyer signals, by day (UTC calendar date). A buyer signal is a post Buska's engine scored HOT: strong, first-person buying intent.

Where B2B/software buying intent concentrates on Reddit

Ranked by number of buyer-signal (HOT) posts Buska found in these communities over the window above. "Buyer rate" is buyer signals divided by all posts in that subreddit, so a small, focused subreddit can rank above a much bigger one.

Buying-intent conversations on Reddit are not limited to software: consumer communities such as r/personalfinance or r/HomeImprovement carry buyer signals too. We show the software-relevant subset above because that is what most readers of this page are selling into.

Method, sample and limits

Sample: 534,004 public posts collected by Buska's Reddit scrapers over 90 days (2026-06-26 to 2026-09-24), across all customer teams. "Buyer signal" means a post the Buska qualification engine scored HOT (intent judge, skeptic pass, final verifier), not a keyword match.

Timezone: every date is UTC, calendar day. We deliberately do not offer a timezone selector or an hour-of-day breakdown: Buska records the date a Reddit post was published, not the time. Converting a day into a local hour without knowing the original time would fabricate precision we do not have. That is an honest choice, not a missing feature.

We do not measure upvotes or comment counts: Buska does not store those fields, so unlike some other "best time to post" tools, we are not claiming to know which hour maximizes your upvotes. We do know when posts that look like a real buying need show up.

Collection bias: this corpus reflects the keywords and signals Buska customer teams actually monitor (mostly B2B, mostly English). It is not a random sample of all of Reddit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to post on Reddit?

Nobody has reliable hour-level data for this: most pages that claim to know are guessing from one subreddit and a small sample of upvotes. What our real data shows, across 534,004 posts, is that the buyer-signal rate is highest midweek (Friday leads at 1.76%) and lowest on the weekend (Saturday, 1.21%).

Why is there no hour-by-hour breakdown?

Because we do not have one. Buska stores the calendar date a Reddit post was published (in UTC), not the exact time. Rather than inventing an hourly breakdown the way some competing pages do, we show what our data actually supports: a day-of-week breakdown.

Is this the same as "best time to post for upvotes"?

No. We do not track upvotes or comments at all, those are not fields Buska stores. This page answers a different, more useful question for sales teams: when do people with a real buying need show up, not when does a post get the most upvotes.

What counts as a "buyer signal" (HOT) here?

A post Buska's qualification engine scored HOT: the author expresses, in the first person, a current unmet need, an explicit shopping request, or a switch away from a current tool. It is the same engine that qualifies leads inside the Buska product.

Which subreddits have the most B2B buying-intent posts?

In our sample, r/smallbusiness, r/SEO and r/DigitalMarketing rank highest for buyer signals tied to software and B2B services. The full table is above on this page.

Is this tool free?

Yes, fully free and no signup required. The page is entirely static: nothing is sent to a server when you view it.
